The Zephaniah Dancers 'Is There a Heaven for Me' has won the Gold Award in the *Christian Broadcasting Council Media Awards 2006 for the Best Music DVD. The music video was Co-produced by Deborah Anderson & Jeff Marshall and Directed by Jeff Marshall. 'Is there a Heaven for me', tells the Easter story in dance, drama and song, as seen through the eyes of Mary Magdalene. The dramatic story tells how meeting Jesus changed Mary's life and released her from the past which had haunted her. Jeff also Co-Produced the feature film 'Fiddler's Walk' with George (Director) & Patricia Kingsnorth of Kingsnorth Films, which won the Gold Award for the Best Christian Film. At the Conference and Awards ceremony on Friday 1st Dec 2006 at Mulberry House, High Ongar, Essex the awards were presented by Baroness Catherine Cox - Vice President of CBC. This year's theme 'Mandated to Move Higher'. Olave Snelling (Vice Chair of CBC) writes; 'The pace of everything is accelerating. I'm greatly convinced in these days that God's people are to change gear, to change pace, to move to a higher plain. We're to pray as never before. God spoke to Joshua and told him to go in and possess the land. I believe God is telling us to do just that. Fast.' Among the seventy delegates from BBC Television, BBC Radio, Channel Four, The God Channel and many more independent production companies, 'Is There a Heaven for Me?' and 'Fiddler's Walk were in good company with some of the top film, television and radio producers in Christian Broadcasting. |

| 'Fiddler's Walk' (comedy/drama) - a full-length feature film set on the border of Northern Ireland in County Down, Armagh & Louth (Ballykissangel meets Bridget Jones). A young American architect reluctantly inherits an Irish pub but when she plans to modernise the place the locals have other ideas. The film was being shot around the Louth, Newry & Mourne area and we are most grateful to the support and help being provided by Maintin De Barra of the Louth, Newry and Mourne Film Commission with regards to some of the locations required for the film. We were also supported by many of the fine actors based in the area including members of the Newpoint Players, such as Pauline Lynch (sister to John & Susan), Joe O'Neill (Holby City) and Anthony Fitzpatrick. Sara Dylan is cast as the main character of Aoifé. Sara has been seen quite often in the DoE ad regarding wearing seatbelts and plays the girl in the back seat that survives the crash. The film is based on an original script by George Kingsnorth and Lawrence Kavanagh, being produced by Jeff Marshall, Patricia Finnegan and George Kingsnorth and directed by George Kingsnorth. *The Christian Broadcasting Council is a Christian organisation which encourages the proclamation of the gospel through the electronic media. CBC draws its members from churches of all denominations, from both Houses of Parliament and from Christians in broadcasting and the media. |
